Principal's Corner
Hello Panther Families,
My name is Veronica Valdivia, and I am the principal of Parkview Elementary School. I have been in education for 25 years and have served as an elementary school teacher in grades Kinder through sixth, and as an associate principal for the Chula Vista Elementary School District. I am excited to continue the amazing work that is happening at Parkview, where we strive to provide equitable access to rigorous instruction in an inclusive, positive learning environment that emphasizes the social-emotional well-being of each of our students.
At Parkview, we believe that all students can achieve academic growth and success. Our goal is to provide our students with an exciting journey of educational opportunities through our highly qualified professional staff. We strive to ensure that all children have the opportunity to reach high standards of success. We provide an educational experience that will allow children to learn in a safe, caring, and understanding environment. This environment will encourage children to be responsible citizens and lifelong learners who will strive to reach their fullest potential.
One of our goals for this school year is to continue our home-school partnership while building strong relationships with our students, staff, and families. We truly appreciate the tremendous support from parents at Parkview. Your participation in our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) will strengthen this partnership and help to build a bridge for a better understanding of student and parent needs. We want parents and community members to visit our school and feel welcome. As parents and guardians, you are the first and most important educators in your child’s life. Your children bring life to our school each day, eager to participate with excitement.
Another goal for our students is to ensure academic growth, social-emotional well-being, and positive behavior continue to be the focus for our Panthers. The Parkview staff will continue to work with our students and families to ensure we are successfully meeting the needs of our young learners. A major factor in overall student success is attendance; ensuring our Panthers come to school daily and on time will support their academic achievement and confidence.
We are going to have a fantastic school year. I am proud to be the principal of Parkview!
