Hello Panther Families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! My name is Veronica Valdivia and I am the principal of Parkview Elementary School. I have been in education for 25 years and have served as an elementary school teacher in grades Kinder through sixth, and as an associate principal for the Chula Vista Elementary School District. I am excited to continue the amazing work that is happening at Parkview where we strive to provide equitable access to rigorous instruction in an inclusive, positive learning environment that emphasizes the social-emotional well-being of each of our students.
At Parkview, we believe that all students can achieve academic growth and success. Our goal is to provide a journey of exciting educational opportunities for our students, with our highly qualified professional staff. We strive to ensure that all children have the opportunity to reach high standards of success. We provide an educational experience that will allow children to learn in a safe, caring, and understanding environment. This environment will encourage children to be responsible citizens and lifelong learners that will strive to reach their fullest potential.
One of our goals for this school year is to continue with our home and school partnership while building strong relationships with our students, staff, and families. We truly appreciate the tremendous parent support at Parkview. Your participation in our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) will strengthen this partnership and help to build a bridge for a better understanding of student and parent needs. We want parents and community members to visit our school and feel welcome. As parents and guardians, you are the first and most important educator in your child’s life. Your children bring life to our school each day, ready to participate with excitement and eagerness.
Another goal for our students is to ensure academic growth, social-emotional well being, and positive behavior continues to be the focus for our Panthers. The Parkview staff will continue to work with our students and families to ensure we are successfully meeting the needs of our young learners. A big factor in overall student success is attendance; ensuring our Panthers come to school daily and on time will support their academic achievements as well as their confidence.
We are going to have an fantastic school year. I am proud to be the principal of Parkview!
